A new smartphone from Nokia N-series will be coming in January '09, the Nokia N97 And now all the buzz is whether or not this will be the iPhone killer who has been prophesied for so long. Here's a heads-up on how the four cell systems in place.

On the face of it, the Nokia N97 is more like the iPhone than any other Nokia to date. He formed one-piece thin (thinner than the iPhone, actually) keys minimalist (two instead of one) and 3.5-inch touch screen occupying most of the face.

In the hand, you realize that, although slim, N97 is thicker and heavier than the iPhone.

While possessing the same size as the touch screen of the iPhone, the N97 "Resolution of the iPhone puts to shame, with true 16:9 widescreen (640 x 360 pixels) at 3:2 iPhone (320 x 480). Thus, the photo management for multimedia and video playback, games, and the N97 comes out well above the iPhone.

WATTENDU THAT both the iPhone and the Nokia N97 Support of audio and video more, the N97 has the advantage of supporting Flash Lite, Flash Video and Windows Media 9.

This support Flash should not be underestimated, as it will allow Nokia N97 users that makes web pages much more than the iPhone 3G is currently able. The iPhone does not support browser-based Java on the N97 can or not, it is not yet clear.

The camera on the Nokia N97 is far superior to the iPhone (and those of most other smartphones on the market) with 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash, and recording DVD quality video with integrated lighting video.

The iPhone still has that relic meager 2 megapixel camera with a flash or or manual focus. The N97 also beats the iPhone in memory - both in the way of onboard storage (32GB cons 8GB or 16GB) and expandable memory (up to 16GB of additional vs. none at all).

The most notable difference between the N97 and the iPhone is the Nokia has a slideout QWERTY keyboard in addition to its touch screen similar to Apple keyboard.

Both the iPhone and the Nokia N97 has integrated GPS (including third party iPhone applications to geo-location and GoogleMaps, the N97 has a digital compass and NokiaMaps).

Both have HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi &. N three can be expected, however, that the Nokia shop will never be able to offer users the range and variety N97 smartphone applications from the iTunes App Store offers iPhone users.

Although prices have not yet been published in U.S. dollars, it seems clear that at least Nokia N97, with all its advantages over the iPhone, will also cost more to buy than the iPhone.
